What You Need to Know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but NB&T pays it anyway. NB&T can cover your overdrafts with standard overdraft practices that come with your account.

This notice explains NB&T’s standard overdraft practices.

What are the standard overdraft practices that come with my account?
NB&T will continue to authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:
  • Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
  • Automatic bill payments (ACH and recurring debit transactions)
As of August 15, 2010, we were no longer able authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you give us permission by signing and returning the consent form below:
  • ATM transactions
  • Everyday debit card transactions
NB&T pays overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.
What fees will I be charged if NB&T pays my overdraft?
Under our standard overdraft practices:
  • A $31.78 overdraft fee will be charged each time an overdraft occurs.
  • There is a maximum of 5 overdrafts per day, which will be assessed daily.
What if I want NB&T to authorize and pay overdrafts on my ATM and everyday debit card transactions?
If you want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions, please complete the consent form below.

I want overdraft courtesy coverage for my ATM withdrawals and debit card purchases. Note: If you do not want this coverage, you are not required to complete this form as debit card/ATM courtesy overdraft coverage was eliminated from your account as of August 15th, 2010.
