Industry Alerts

NB&T provides regular maintenance service to our computer and network systems which may result in scheduled down time for i-connect and other electronic banking services. NB&T will publish any scheduled or unscheduled outages to our online banking services here for your convenience and planning.

In addition, we will publish Industry Alerts here that may assist in the prevention of identity theft and help protect you from fraudulent practices. Fraudsters are becoming more sophisticated in their attacks, so it is important for you be notified of Phishing Alerts as we become aware of them. Phishing is a way of attempting to acquire personal security information such as passwords and account numbers by masquerading as a trustworthy entity. You can be assured that NB&T adheres to the highest standards of security in the industry by the requirement of complex passwords, periodic password changes, and multi-factor authentication of your identity. However, your awareness and diligence in protecting your personal financial security is essential.

NB&T’s Client Support Department has taken several calls today from bank clients stating they have received automated phone calls requesting them to “push #1 to enter their debit card number to reactivate”. At this time, the phone calls seems to be isolated to debit card holders and are not associated with the Schnuck’s Breach. Clients receiving phone calls of this nature should hang up and not complete the automatic request to push #1 and enter their debit card number. NB&T does not make automated calls such as these to clients.
